6.2.2. Standalone Control Mode (Legacy Mode)
This product also supports a standby and a mute control (hardware standby / mute) without using I2C bus communication. This product is set to the standalone mode by pulling down the ADSEL pin (Pin 27) at 10 kΩ or more, or open. (1) Standby state When the Stby pin (Pin 22) is set to 0.8 V or less, the IC enters to the standby state. At that time, the current which flows to the IC becomes 1 µA (typ.). (2) Standby OFF / Mute ON state When the voltage of 2.2 V or more is supplied to the Stby pin (Pin 22), the charging to the capacitor connected to the Ripple pin (Pin 13) starts. Then the hardware standby state is released and enters to the hardware mute state. (3) Standby / Mute Off <=> ON state After entering to the state of (2) shown in the above, the Mute state is released (30 ms Delay mode) by setting Mute pin (Pin 26) to High. Additionally, when the state enters from Mute OFF state to Mute ON state, it operates in 30 ms Delay Mode. If the Mute pin (Pin 26) stays to set High, and the Stby pin (Pin 22) is falling, the fast mute operation starts regardless of time constants. When this mode is used, both SDA (Pin28) and SCL (Pin29) pins should be pulled down.
